Coffee Beans Price Today 08/22/2022: Ending the last trading session last week (August 19), the price of Robusta coffee on ICE Futures Europe – London increased slightly, and September delivery increased by 11 USD (0.5%) to 2,226 USD/ton, term November 2022 delivery increased by 8 USD (0.36%).

In general, coffee prices fell last week due to the impact of a strong dollar, which made emerging market currencies depreciate, reducing purchasing power and increasing risk aversion. In part, factors such as interest rate concerns in the US, a recession in China and inflation in Europe have pushed commodity prices lower.

Boston-area  Fazenda Coffee Roasters has moved its S70 roaster and other equipment to a new 8,000-square-foot location in Dedham, Massachusetts.

The new site represents a significant upgrade in capacity over Fazenda’s previous 2,000-square-foot factory. In 2014, the company converted from a Probat L25 roaster to a Loring, which was moved to the new space on a flatbed truck earlier this spring.

Fazenda Coffee founder Phil Schein told Daily Coffee News the company was looking for a larger space before the COVID-19 pandemic began, an event that brought search work to a halt and instead That forces the company to focus on operational efficiency.

With nearly four times as much space as it does now, the 12-year-old continues to offer more than 100 restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops, in addition to its own e-commerce and subscription sales. .

The new facility was designed from the ground up to streamline the flow of green coffee from importers such as  La Minita,  Interamerican Coffee and  Royal Coffee. The space also supports convenient roasting and packaging production, turning it into collapsible, reusable plastic bags for delivery.
