The price of Robusta coffee last week decreased, not increased, the declines were quite strong, causing the price on the derivatives floor to decrease by $ 55. Especially in the first trading session of the week, the price of Robusta coffee continued to fall sharply, up to more than $40, much lower than the $2000 threshold. Arabica coffee last week had 5 consecutive sessions of sharp decline all week. Trading volume remains above average.

The continued appreciation of the Brazilian real against the dollar has somewhat dampened the selling momentum of manufacturers. Coffee prices in general maintained a downward trend, but Arabica fell slightly more than Robusta. Speculators most likely use the currency and inventory factor. This data led to an incessant sell-off in coffee prices, forcing coffee prices down steadily.

Arabica is at a 13-month low and there is no sign yet. The signal is bullish even though the price has been in the oversold zone for a long time. Technical analysis shows that the data still has bearish momentum.

The price is expected to fall further in the short term and find support in the 185-187 range, however, the possibility of a quick correction and technical recovery is not excluded as the price entered the oversold zone very early.
