What Is Macchiato?

The perfect combination of black tea, milk tea or coffee with greasy milk cream has made drinkers fall in love, immersed in the ecstatic delicious taste, faint aroma, and smooth taste but not bored.

It can be said that the Macchiato drink line, although appearing on the market for a long time, still retains its attraction.

What Is The Origin Of Macchiato?

The origin of this name is derived from the bartenders used to distinguish it from Cappuccino or Latte. In Portugal, this drink is called “café pintado”, which means coffee with a drop.

In some countries like Mexico, Macchiato is called “cortado”. In Italy, you can enjoy Macchiato in 2 variations, Espresso Macchiato and scoop a small spoon of foam over the coffee, and decorate with the remaining 5ml of caramel sauce.

Macchiato Variations

In Italian coffee culture, a Macchiato or Caffe Macchiato or Espresso Macchiato is an Espresso coffee with a layer of milk foam on top with a more robust flavour than many other coffee drinks.

Macchiato is understood as “marked” or “speckled” – a trendy drink next to Cappuccino or Latte. Some say Macchiato is Espresso with a few more milk stains on the surface to create beautiful internal lines.

Nowadays, many coffee shops put quite a bit of milk in their Macchiato, so there is a lot of confusion between Macchiato and Latte. Besides, the Macchiato drink line in Vietnam has many different variations. For example, Black Tea Macchiato, passion fruit Macchiato, milk tea Macchiato…

Different Smooth Cream Line

The creamy, creamy layer in Macchiato drinks is called milk foam. Creating the desired milk foam layer requires ingenuity in quantifying the ingredients and whisking them in specific proportions so that the milk foam will not sink to the bottom when put in a glass of water.

Before this drink line appeared, fresh cream on iced dishes and milkshakes was loved by many people. However, this layer of cream is later less popular because many people know they are lightly whipped with iSi gauze. Although this gas is produced specifically for use in food, ensuring safety standards, many people are still quite hesitant.

Milk foam is naturally whipped from ingredients such as whipping cream, topping cream, and vanilla base powder, so users can rest assured. In addition to the traditional vanilla flavour, you can also try flavours such as salted milk foam, cheese, green tea…

New Ways To Drink Macchiato

When enjoying Macchiato, people often do not use a straw; instead, they drink it directly and sip it to feel each layer of the drink’s flavour most gently and delicately.

First, the smooth, creamy milk foam will gradually flow into the mouth, reaching the glass below. The taste of cream and tea gradually blend to help you feel the harmonious drink taste, not bored.

Milk foam sticks to the lips like a white, exciting moustache when enjoyed without a straw. On dates with friends, after taking a sip of Macchiato, everyone will surely have a good laugh when looking at each other.

Although it has been around for a long time, we can easily see that Macchiato drinks have not shown any signs of “cooling down” in the current drink market, all thanks to their attractive taste and uniqueness. that the milk foam layer brings.

When walking around cafes or milk tea from popular or famous brands, you will see creative variations on the drink menu besides black tea macchiatos, such as oolong tea and passion fruit tea. Butterfly pea tea, Gotu kola…
